Sun Siyam Resorts has promoted Sara Siyam from Creative Director to Director of Marketing, effective May 1, 2024. The appointment recognizes her seven-year tenure with the company and leadership in brand development and creative strategy.
As Director of Marketing, Sara will lead the marketing department in refining Sun Siyam Resorts’ creative vision and brand positioning. Her responsibilities include elevating brand awareness through integrated marketing campaigns, developing unique experiential events across all Sun Siyam properties, driving growth and revenue through strategic marketing initiatives, and enhancing the group’s global brand presence and guest engagement. The role reflects Sun Siyam Resorts’ commitment to strengthening its marketing capabilities as the company expands its luxury, privé, and lifestyle resort collections.
Sara joined Sun Siyam Resorts in 2017 as a PR Executive and advanced through progressively senior positions including Assistant Manager of PR and Marketing for the resort group, before being appointed PR and Marketing Manager at Siyam World Maldives in November 2020. She was later promoted to Creative Director prior to her current appointment. Her most notable achievement came in managing the launch of Siyam World Maldives in October 2021, where she led branding, content development, social media, and communications strategies for the property’s market introduction.
Sara holds a Master’s Degree in International Tourism and Hospitality from James Cook University, Singapore. Her professional approach combines academic training with practical industry experience, focusing on innovation and distinctive guest experiences. Coming from a family with established tourism and hospitality background, Sara brings generational industry knowledge to her strategic marketing role.
