IHG Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection, marking the brand’s debut in the Maldives and expanding IHG’s fast-growing portfolio of distinct luxury and lifestyle hotels under the Vignette Collection banner.
Situated in the crystalline waters of Noonu Atoll, Noku Maldives features 50 private beach and overwater villas, many with private pools, framed by soft white sands and brilliant turquoise lagoons. Designed to embody sophisticated simplicity, each villa pairs contemporary comfort with natural textures, embracing the slow, barefoot luxury that defines island life.

“Our team is excited to welcome guests as part of IHG’s Vignette Collection – a brand rooted in individuality, authenticity, and meaningful connection,” said Hussain Shahid, General Manager, Noku Maldives, Vignette Collection. “Over the past year, we have refreshed culinary concepts, enhanced experiences, and introduced signature rituals that reflect the heartfelt Maldivian warmth at the core of our hospitality.”
Culinary experiences are a central highlight of the resort, showcasing regional flavours and fresh island ingredients. Palms Restaurant and Bar offers relaxed beachfront dining where ocean views and fire-grilled specialties set the scene for leisurely indulgence. Thari brings together flavours of the Maldives, India and Sri Lanka, complemented by tropical cocktails in an inviting poolside setting. Guests may also choose from private dining under the stars, castaway picnics, romantic villa dinners, or floating breakfasts enjoyed poolside in total seclusion.
Nestled within a tranquil garden setting, Noku Spa offers treatments inspired by local healing traditions, featuring ingredients such as coconut oil and indigenous botanicals to harmonise body and spirit with the island’s natural rhythms.

As with all Vignette Collection properties, the resort pairs its independent identity with the brand’s shared pillars of Memorable Rituals and A Means For Good. At Noku Maldives, guests are invited to Island Echoes, a barefoot storytelling ritual by a bonfire at dusk, where legends of seafarers and island spirits unfold under star-filled skies.
The resort’s social and environmental ethos is expressed through initiatives that support the community and marine ecosystem, including a weekly Fisherman’s Visit that contributes fresh catch to nearby schools and local women’s committees. Additionally, coral regeneration and sea turtle rescue programmes in partnership with local NGOs encourage guest participation through reef adoption activities.
Launched in 2021, Vignette Collection has rapidly emerged as one of IHG’s fastest-growing luxury and lifestyle brands, now comprising 19 open hotels with a further 34 in the pipeline, including new developments in markets such as Japan and China.
