With expectations shifting, recent research confirms that guests are seeking stays that are tailored rather than standardised. A Mews survey, for instance, found that 68% of travellers now prefer personalised experiences over generic rewards, with even stronger interest among affluent travellers and Gen Z.
Responding to this shift, Cinnamon Hotels & Resorts Maldives has enhanced its Book Direct value proposition. Under the new structure, guests booking directly can choose two curated experiences from each resort’s customised list, along with resort credits for stays of three nights or more. Credits may be used for dining, spa and recreational activities, allowing guests to shape their stay based on their interests and pace.

Cinnamon Discovery loyalty members also gain expanded privileges. Silver tier members may select two experiences, Gold tier members three, and Platinum tier members receive access to all listed resort experiences when booking direct.
